The move was carried out on the occasion of the anniversary of the National Registration of Niavaran Historical Cultural Complex aimed at raising public awareness of the cultural heritage, the royal architecture of the Pahlavi era and enhancing the tourism capacity of the complex.
The reopening section contains more private spaces than the private palace that was previously only available to researchers or experts in the collection, and is a treasure trove of exquisite objects that have been publicly displayed for the first time.
The director of Niavaran Historical Cultural Complex commemorated Niavaran Day on June 6, saying:
The reopening of this sector is an effective step towards the benefit of the people from the country’s cultural and historical capital. With such actions, we are trying to turn Niavaran from a static set into a vibrant and dynamic space for cultural dialogue.
Shahrood Amir Qandi added:
With careful documentation and protection considerations, it is possible to visit these sections at Niavaran’s dedicated palace, and visitors can have a closer experience to the daily lives of former residents of the palace.
Niavaran Historical Cultural Complex was listed in the National Heritage List of Iran five years ago after the necessary legal procedures and procedures and was named “Niavaran Day”. On this occasion, special programs such as free visits, temporary exhibitions and specialized meetings are accompanied.
