Quoted by ISNA; Seyyed Ahmad Alavi, referring to the discovery of monuments during the implementation of construction projects in Tehran, said:
Some development projects in the capital unwittingly lead to the discovery of treasures from the soil that recall the city’s historical identity; An example of this is the recent findings in the Jasmine Garden in District 2, which dates back to the Qajar and Pahlavi period.
He added.
Such discoveries not only represent Tehran’s historical depth, but can also become unique opportunities to strengthen cultural heritage and urban tourism development; Especially if the necessary studies and feasibility are followed with precision and seriousness.
Alavi emphasized the need for responsible authorities to record and document these works:
We must turn these achievements into part of Tehran’s cultural narrative; A narrative that can enhance both the historical appeal of the city and to contribute to the economic prosperity of the tourism sector.
