May 9 is World Museum Day and is celebrated every year at the Great World Museums. The world’s leading museums are always one of the reasons for many tourists.
The Louvre Museum in Paris remained the most visited museum in the world with 1.5 million visitors, though it was down by 6 %, probably due to the Paris Olympics. However, for a museum that has nearly 5 million visitors annually, the reduction of visits is not bad, and the Louvre Museum is overwhelming.
The Vatican Museums in Rome came in second with 1.5 million visitors. This is just 4.3 less than the year of the year, indicating that the museum has returned to their level of visits before Corona’s epidemic.
The prominent British and old British Museum was also in the third place in the year.
