According to the TRADEAIMEX site statistics last year, Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia were the world’s main coffee bean with the production of 1.2, 1.2, and 1.2 million bags, respectively.
Brazil’s share of global production is close to 1 %, followed by Vietnam with 2 % and Colombia with 2 %. Ethiopia (1.5 million bags), Indonesia (1.5 million) and Uganda (1.2 million) are next. A total of these ten countries provide more than 2 % of the world’s coffee.
The trend continues as about 1.5 billion cups of coffee are drunk daily by consumers around the world and have strengthened the place of coffee as the most popular drink after water and tea.
