Rome, the capital of Italy, is one of the most historic cities in the world dating back more than 2.5 years. It is the center of the ancient Roman Empire and has numerous antiquities. Colosseum, one of the world’s most famous monuments, has been a reminder of the glory of the Roman Empire and the place of the Gladiator battles. Pantheon, a temple with amazing architecture, remained firm after centuries and reflects the genius of the Roman engineering. Also, the Roman Forum, an ancient Roman political and social center, with its columns and ruins presenting an image of the peak of the empire.
In addition, Rome hosts the St. Peter Basilica Church in the Vatican, one of the largest and most important churches in the world. Castel Sant’angelo, originally built as a tomb for the Emperor of Hadrian, has historically been used as a fortress, palace and prison, and is now one of Rome’s sights. Victory arches, such as Arch of Constantine and Arch of Titus, are also remnants of the Roman Empire that represent the power and greatness of this era. Walking on the streets of Rome is like a journey in the heart of history, with magnificent monuments narrating the stories of the ancient Roman Empire.
