Citadel Square in the southwest of Golestan Palace and between the palace entrance and Tehran Bazaar is known as one of the oldest squares in Tehran.

This field had different names in the Qajar period, of which the old artillery is one of its famous names. The pearl ball has been located in this square near the entrance of Golestan Palace for many years. During the Qajar period, this famous square was the place of various events and was considered one of the famous entrances of the palace.
