In the specialized meeting “Korangun: Trying to save the oldest Elamite painting and questioning its place in the culture and civilization of Elam”, Mohammad Thabit Eqlidi found the restoration and organization of this ancient Iranian relief, which has been left in the Elamite period in Rostam city, to be of great value and importance. and said:
From the historical and natural point of view, Rostam city is an irreplaceable tourist destination that has the capacity to attract many tourists. Considering the historical and cultural importance of Korangun and the poor state of its motifs caused by the passage of time and severe natural erosion, the first extensive protection and restoration measures were carried out in October of this year with the support of the Rostam governorate and the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts. Simultaneously with the important project of restoration and organization of Eylami Korangon petroglyphs in Rostam city, restoration and protection workshops of Rostam petroglyphs in Maroodasht city, Rostam petroglyphs in Darab, Teng Baraq relief in Euclid city, Sarbaz Parti relief in Qirokarzin city, Berem Delek relief in Shiraz , the bas-relief of Teng Chugan in Kazron, the relief of Sarab Bahram in Noorabad The maintenance and organization of the Sassanid axis of Kazeroon and Sarostan is active and the restoration of these petroglyphs is ongoing.
He said regarding other protective measures for the protection of the prominent motifs and valuable petroglyphs of Fars province:
There are some petroglyphs in Fars province that have not been registered in the list of national monuments, the process of registering these petroglyphs is ongoing and soon we will witness the registration of these valuable historical works.
