Bangladesh is one of the countries of Southeast Asia, bordering India from the east and west and the Bay of Bengal from the south. The capital of this country is called “Dhaka”, which is known as one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Bangladesh gained its independence from Pakistan in 1971 and since then has made great progress in various fields, especially in textile production and agriculture. The diverse nature of this country includes rivers, forests and mountainous areas, each of which has its own charms.
With a rich culture and history dating back thousands of years, Bangladesh is full of festivals, customs and works of art. Bangladeshi people are known for their hospitality and friendliness and their main language is Bengali. One of the important tourist attractions of this country is Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world. Ancient temples are also among the other places of interest in Bangladesh that are visited by many people.
