Google Maps shows “temporarily closed”; But there is actually a water museum that is open and somewhat worth a visit.
2. Joshua Tram from Australia
It was a wonderful and fascinating museum about aqueducts in Iran. Our guide “Khanem Ebrahimi” was very knowledgeable and took us on a great tour around the museum. We had a great time here, it was worth the entrance fee of 1,500,000 Rials.
3. Chak Man So from South Korea
This place provides detailed information about the history of the building as well as how the water system works. I met a young lady who is the director of the museum and gives in-depth explanations in English. Definitely worth a visit.
4. Roger Schmid (Roger Schmid) from Germany
Water is the source of life and you need a lot of it for a city. It is interesting to see how they brought water from the mountain to the city. It is not the newest museum; But it’s good to visit when you’re into that sort of thing.
5. Paul Meylemans from Norway
If you travel to Iran, you will imagine that it is a dry country; But in historical cities and houses, there is always water. If you want to understand where all this water comes from, the Yazd Water Museum will explain to you the ingenious system of underground water channels, also called aqueducts. Aqueducts often bring water to the city from underground sources located in the mountains. Aqueducts can be tens of kilometers long.
