Moghulistan joined the global registration of Nowruz.
With the addition of Mongolia to the world registration file, on Thursday, December 15, the Nowruz ritual was registered in the UNESCO list for the third time in the international UNESCO cultural heritage committee in Paraguay.
Nowruz is an ancient, more than 2,500 years old, celebration and ritual covering the lands of Iranian culture, which is also one of the oldest shared by the people living in this land in terms of history. The geographical scope of Nowruz has been stretched from China to the Mediterranean and its historical background has caused it to be associated with various thoughts, ideals and worldviews over time, and today it is in every point of this area. Geography comes in a form that is one at the root.
Values such as peace and solidarity, friendship, cultural diversity, healthy lifestyle and regeneration of the living environment have been promoted by this ritual for thousands of years and passed from one generation to another. It can lead to respect for nature as well as mutual respect between cultures.
This ancient religion was held for the first time in 2008 with the participation of seven countries: Iran, Azerbaijan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, in 2015 for the second time with the participation of five countries: Afghanistan, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, and at this year’s summit. With the addition of Mongolia to the file, it was registered in the UNESCO list for the third time.
The participating countries in the case are Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Pakistan, India, Iraq and Mongolia.
