Tehran’s large parks in District 2 are connected to each other by a special cycling and walking path.
The mayor of the 2nd district of Tehran explained the details of creating a 47 km tourist route in this area.
Mehdi Salehi said about the tourism route plan in the 2nd district of Tehran:
There are 5 extra-regional parks in region 2, which include Fadak, 13 hectares, Pardisan, Nahj al-Balagheh 1 and Nahj al-Balagheh 2 parks; These parks were separate from each other, which were decided to be connected with the definition of the tourism plan. By connecting these parks to each other, 47 kilometers of continuous path will be created, which citizens can travel on foot, by bicycle, and any other mode of light transportation if they wish.
The mayor of the 2nd district of Tehran stated:
Currently, the designated route is being secured, renovated, equipped and painted and will be completed in the next two months. Of course, parts of this route in Fadak Park are currently being used by citizens, and other routes are also being prepared.
He noted:
The main point here is that this path is not interrupted by any vehicle and can be used by citizens continuously; This path has a specific design and coloring that distinguishes it from other parts of the gardens.
Salehi stated that mother and child rooms, a prayer room and an emergency station will be created along this route.
According to the order of the mayor of Tehran, this project is supposed to be expanded to other regions and end up in extra-regional parks and other places such as Milad Tower.
