Isfahan is alive with Zayandehrud, and this year there is no rush of water in the river on Isfahan Day.
A month of Azar is known as Isfahan Day. A city that carries the burden of a large part of Iran’s history and art and carries the title of “half of the world”.
Isfahan’s history, culture and identity are tied to the river in its middle. A river whose breaths were first counted and now it has become a temporary river that must always flow with the upstream decision and for a limited period of time. The days when the water returns to the river, it is as if life has returned to Isfahan. Citizens go to welcome Zayandehroud and on the days when the water is flowing, the city has a different atmosphere.
The following video was recorded this spring in the days when Zayandehroud was alive and full of life in Isfahan.
The day of Isfahan has come in 1403; But the bed of Zayandeh River is dry. Although it has been promised that water will flow to the river in the beginning of December for the purpose of autumn planting for the farmers of east Isfahan.
