Ateshgah is one of the ancient attractions of Isfahan city, which was famous as one of the seven great fire temples of Iran in the Sassanid era. This beautiful building, also known as “Mehrbin Fire Pit”, is located on the outskirts of Isfahan. The view of Atashgah to the city of Isfahan, the surrounding gardens and fields, delights tourists and visitors. A number of foreign tourists who have visited Atashgah have shared their opinions and experiences with Google users.

I was eager to visit; But there was no guidance. There wasn’t enough descriptive information and I didn’t go up because the way up didn’t seem safe.
2. Oğuzhan Özoğlu from Turkey
It is open day and night; As far as I could see there were no guards. Naturally, tickets are not required and entry is free. The entrance to the old fire temple is located on the hill. There is no special path to get there and you have to go up and down among the rocks. I advise you to be careful; Your feet may slip in places. You can watch Isfahan from this hill; It presents a good view. On one side of this hill is the city reservoir. The construction of a water tank in such a historical place shows the importance given to the temple. I can also say that the temple and its surroundings are not kept clean.
3. Lee Kyung Taek (이경탕) from South Korea
The uphill is very rough. It takes about 15 minutes to go up. In my opinion, the way down was more difficult; Because there is a risk of slipping. The view of the plains and mountains from the top is good; But the temple itself is nothing special. If you have enough time to explore the city, it is worth a visit.
4. Bruno Grasso from Italy
Totally disappointing! This place certainly has historical importance for Zoroastrians; But it is not well maintained and only the upper part has been clumsily restored. In addition, they built a large water tank practically next to the entrance. Maybe it would be more interesting if they reconstructed this fire temple and its related rituals!

A beautiful temple with a stunning view of Isfahan
