The ancient castle of Alamut is closed until further notice for the documentation operation of the world registration file.
The General Director of Qazvin Cultural Heritage announced the closure of Hassan Sabah Castle in Alamut region for the purpose of documentation for the preparation of the world registration file.
Alireza Khazaeli said regarding the closure of Alamut Castle:
Due to the necessity of documentation to prepare the global registration file of Alamut region, the access stairs and protective scaffolding of the castle have been collected and currently the safety conditions are not suitable for the presence of tourists and visiting the castle.
Director General of Qazvin Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts stated:
For this reason, visits to Alamut Castle will be closed from Tuesday, the first of November until the end of the documentation and notification operation.

With the re-establishment of protective scaffolding and the adjustment of visiting conditions, necessary information will be provided.
