Petra; An ancient jewel in the heart of the red rocks of Jordan

Petra is an ancient city in the south of Jordan, which is known as one of the architectural and historical wonders of the world. This ancient city is famous for its unique stone structures. Built by the Nabateans in the 4th century BC, Petra was an important center for trade and culture as the capital of this empire. Petra is also known as “Rose City” due to its geographical location among red and pink rocks. This ancient city was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 and today it is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Jordan.

This ancient city, carved in the heart of the rocks, displays a unique example of the art and engineering of the Nabataeans.
