The European Union sanctioned Iranair, Mahan and Saha.
The European Union sanctioned three airlines, Iran Air, Mahan Air and Saha, on the pretext of baseless claims of Iran’s involvement in the Ukraine conflict by sending ballistic missiles to Russia.
In the statement of the European Union, it is claimed that three airlines, Iran Air, Mahan Air and Saha Airlines, have transferred Iran-made missiles and drones to Russia.
The European Union claimed:
These sanctions are targeted and seek to deter Iran’s specific policies and activities. The Union does not intend to generally disrupt air traffic or public communications between the Union and Iran.
In the new EU list, a total of seven Iranian citizens and seven Iranian organizations have been added to the list of sanctions. Based on this, “Behnam Shahriari”, “Ali Shadmani”, “Ali Jafarabadi”, “Mehdi Gogerdchian”, “Syed Hamzeh Qalandari”, “Reza Khosravi Moghadam” and “Syed Mirahamd Noushin” along with Iran Air, Mahan Air, Saha, Co. Dynamic Electronics Frequency, Alumina Iran, Tadbir Aria Spectrum and Shahid Haj Ali Mohd Research Center have been sanctioned.
According to the issued statement, the assets of the sanctioned individuals and institutions were frozen and the companies and citizens of the European Union were prohibited from financial dealings with them. Also, sanctioned natural persons do not have the right to travel to the member countries and their entry or passage to these countries is prohibited.
Allegations about Iran’s military involvement in the Ukraine conflict are raised while the authorities of Tehran and Moscow have repeatedly rejected this claim and described it as baseless. The Islamic Republic of Iran, while opposing the war, has always declared that it supports a political solution to resolve the differences between Russia and Ukraine and end the military conflicts.
Since the beginning of the Ukraine crisis, Iran has never been a part of this conflict and military conflict and its continuation, and has always supported a political solution and bilateral talks to end this crisis and conflict.
The principled and declared approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the Ukraine crisis has remained unchanged for the past two years, and from this point of view, the repetition of the claim of sending ballistic missiles to Russia is made with the political goals and motives of some Western countries and is completely baseless.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, stated earlier by publishing a message on X social network:
Iran has not sent ballistic missiles to Russia. all
