In its report for the fourth quarter of 2025, Goldman Sachs, the American banking and investment giant, has disclosed its investments in the four largest digital currencies of the market. These investments are made through spot ETFs and include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple and Solana.
The bank reportedly held about 13,740 bitcoins through spot ETFs, which were valued at $1.7 billion at the end of the quarter.
With the sharp decline in the price of Bitcoin, the current value of these assets has reached about 920 million dollars. However, Goldman Sachs has not reduced its position so far and the losses have not materialized.
In addition to Bitcoin, the bank has invested in three other major altcoins: about $1 billion in Ethereum, $153 million in Ripple, and $108 million in Solana.
The publication of this report on social networks has been welcomed by the crypto community, and analysts consider it a sign of the entry of whales and large Wall Street institutions into the digital currency market.
