Currently, electric motorcycles occupy a very small part of the Indonesian vehicle market, but the government of this country is trying to increase the number of this type of motorcycles to 800,000 by 2023 by paying subsidies.
Honda’s EM1 e electric scooter has been released in Indonesia in two versions with a price of 2100 and 2900, while the price of internal combustion motorcycles such as Honda ADV160 is much lower and about half of this price. Nevertheless, the efforts of the government and the investment of major car companies in the country will help the success of its plans to electrify its roads.
