Samsung is preparing a special event at CES 2026 and the company is expected to finally introduce the Galaxy Z Trifold phone to global customers at this event. In addition, new flagship TVs, home appliances and a range of new products are likely to be unveiled at the event.
Samsung has officially announced that a special event called The First Look will be held on January 4. The program begins two days before the official start of CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
According to the company’s announcement, the event’s keynote will outline Samsung’s vision for the DX or Device Experience segment in 2026, as well as AI-powered customer-centric experiences. However, beyond discussions of corporate strategy, all signs point to a global unveiling of the Galaxy Z Trifold and possibly a US price announcement.
Event by T. M. Rowe, the CEO and head of the DX department, and S. W. Jung, head of visual displays, will also attend, along with Cheol-gi Kim, executive vice president of digital home appliances. This management combination indicates that Samsung will introduce a wide range of new devices and accessories at CES 2026. Samsung usually uses this exhibition to introduce next-generation flagship TVs, advanced display technologies, smart home appliances, as well as AI-based capabilities in various product categories.
Since Samsung just announced the Galaxy Z Trifold without a special event and without much fanfare, CES 2026 is the best time to show the dual-hinged phone in front of a global audience.
Galaxy Z Trifold is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2026 in the United States; For this reason, it is expected that January 4th will be the time to announce the price and details of the release of this phone in the American market.
Don’t expect much from the Galaxy S26 series either. Of course, Samsung might drop some minor hints about its upcoming flagships, but First Look isn’t an Unpacked event, so don’t expect the new S series to appear on stage.
