Google has introduced the Pixel 2 series handsets, and although there are many hardware changes in these models, the company’s main focus is on new artificial intelligence capabilities. The Pixel 10 series devices offer an extensive set of artificial intelligence -based features that, in addition to their previous capabilities, are now accompanied by newer and more advanced capabilities. Here we have compiled a list of new features in this series. Some of these features have already been available on the iPhone, but some are not yet available in Apple products and are exclusively offered in the Pixel 2.
- Magic Cue: Magic CUE actively displays relevant information and offers suggested actions; Just like what was expected of Apple’s personalized features that was never fully realized. This feature can automatically display flight information when contacting the airline, or if a friend requests a video user, it will prepare and display the right photo at the same time.
- Daily Hub: Daily Hub feature offers a custom profile of user life using Magic Cue. This section includes a compact review of the calendar events, the suggestion of new topics for searching or reading, music players tailored to one’s interests, and many more.
- Call Transcripts: The Take A Message feature in the Phone program allows for a live copy of lost or rejected calls. This feature allows the user to view the content of the conversation at the same time. While Apple has already provided live copy of the input voice messages, Google’s new feature offers a more complete experience.
- Pixel Journal: Pixel Journal feature offers the user with artificial intelligence suggestions for writing to process his thoughts and ideas better. In addition, this feature analyzes individual patterns and advances over time and provides insights to the user. Apple also has its own Journal app that offers suggestions for writing.
- Voice Translate: Voice Translate enables live translation of calls, so that every speaker is still heard with the same natural sound. This feature is similar to Apple’s Live Translation feature, but the main difference is that Voice Translate imitates the main user’s voice and offers a more natural experience. In addition, it supports more languages when translating into English or English, including Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Russesian and Indonesian.
- Camera CoachCamera Coach provides instructions and guidelines for a moment to allow the user to capture more quality and professional images. This feature offers suggestions for lighting, frame composition, appropriate angle and even photography modes to make the final result more optimized.
- Auto Best Take: This feature reviews and analyzes up to 5 frames within seconds to select the best group image; An image in which everyone is willing to look at the camera and make it good. This feature can fix many common problems in collective photos and ultimately provide perfect output.
- Add me: A feature called Add Me, which with the help of artificial intelligence can put the photographer in a group image. This feature is now compatible with larger groups, providing more creative and diverse compositions for images.
- AI VideosA: Pixel series devices have the ability to produce video only based on short text descriptions.
- Video tips for Gemini Live: Gemini Live feature designed for live and real -time Gemini artificial intelligence, has now made significant progress. Previously, the system was able to get the content of the camera or the screen and use it to better understand the field of dialogue, but in the new version it can highlight the elements on the screen to provide more accurate video tips when answering questions.
- More natural conversation: In the new update, Gemini Live has found a more natural and similar sound to human speech. The changes involved include recovery in the song, rhythm, and subcutaneous sounds to make conversations deeper and deeper. This system can speak faster or slower based on the user’s command and even reproduce different accents.
- Gboard: Google keyboard, or Gboard, now supports more advanced written tools. These tools include spelling, rewriting texts with different styles, and automatic modification of the sentence structure. The user can rewrite their text in a particular style. This is similar to the feature Apple offers on its Writing Tools.
- Google Photos: The Google Photos app has received image editing based on conversation. This feature allows users to make custom changes to the images through artificial intelligence conversation.
- Notebooklm: Notebooklm’s research assistant based on Google Artificial Intelligence is now integrated with Pixel Screenshots and Recorder. If Screenshots identifies an image related to a notebook, it will suggest that the image be added to the notes for simpler tracking. Also, the texts implemented through the Recorder can also enter the booklet directly.
- Gemini Nano: The Tensor G5 chip, used in Pixel 2 handsets, provides the ability to run the new version of the Gemini Nano model. This causes many artificial intelligence processes to be done without the need to connect to external servers at higher speeds and greater security on the handset itself.
Apple will probably be able to offset some of these capabilities with the release of the updated version of Siri, but it will still be in the field of image editing and living artificial intelligence features than Google, as Apple’s large language model has not been designed and released so far. Google Pixel 10 series devices are now available for purchase and their official launch will begin by the end of this month. In contrast, Apple’s iPhone 5 models will be introduced in September.
