The World Conference on Apple Developers (WWDC) begins with its main event soon and less than a week later. On the eve of the event, we will give a review of rumors about Apple’s future software updates. In the meantime, iOS 26 attracts the most attention and is said to be undergoing major design changes. Here’s a look at all the rumors released. The number “1” in the name of this operating system refers to its release chapter from September 9 to September. Next year iOS 27, then iOS 28 will continue. From now on, all Apple software updates will have the same number of the same year to make it easier to detect new versions.
IOS 26 design updates will see a fundamental redesign and inspire the visual elements of the Visionos operating system. The project inside Apple is known as “Solarium”, which refers to all -sun -glass rooms, indicating a focus on transparency and appearance of glass. The VisionOS interface is transparent to view the surroundings in augmented or virtual reality. On the iPhone, Apple is expected to take advantage of the same transparency approach to make the content more visible.
Naming and appearance is said to inherit some windows and menus on the screen used in Visionos. This includes navigation strips and rounded pop -up menus that are above the floating display content. Apple may use elegant shadowing and optical effects to create a sense of bumps in the buttons and other interface elements.
The app icons may become rounder and the notifications, the menus, the search strips, the card interfaces and other parts of the iOS interface will find rounder corners than before. For example, floating navigation strips are expected to have a capsule form. iOS 26 is described with a glossy or glassy appearance that is similar to Visionos. Apple’s WWDC 2025 teaser images, which show a mild matte glass rainbow, can be a reference to these changes. Apple may use a soft and soft glass style across iOS 26.
The replicas claimed to be based on the actual iOS 26 designs were shared by Front Page Tech earlier this year and portray some of these possible changes. Instead of iOS 19, Apple has decided to change its software updates. Therefore, iOS 26 will be released along with iPados 26, MacOS 26, Watchos 26, TVOS 26 and Visionos 26. For example, in a replica of the camera app, there are transparent pop -up menus that are better combined with the background to focus more on the images. Apple’s newer applications, such as the Apple Sports and Invites, also have easier and more transparent interface elements with expandable buttons and can be an example of the new design language in iOS 26.
Apple plans to rebuild its internal apps with this up -to -date design, though some of them will make larger changes than others. Apple will also provide developers’ guidelines and resources so that third -party applications can also adopt this new look.

Navigation Simplification and Optimization In addition to the new look, Apple will make the navigation options easier and optimized in iOS 26. Apple is changing menus, buttons and navigation to make it easier to learn and use the operating system. Some of these design and user interface changes will also extend to MacOS, iPados, TVOS and Watchos, improving design and navigation coordination throughout Apple’s operating systems. Apple Intelligence Features (Apple Intelligence) are expected to have several new Apple -based features on iOS 26.
- Battery Management with Artificial Intelligence: This feature, by analyzing how you use the iPhone, makes adjustments to maximize battery life. This option can limit the power consumption of the programs, and other systemic functions based on the pattern of the device. This feature is especially useful for the iPhone 5 AIR, which will have a smaller battery, but will be available on all iPhones capable of running iOS 26.
- Shortcuts program (shortcuts): Apple plans to update the Shortcuts app with Apple’s artificial intelligence and allow users to create actions using Apple’s artificial intelligence models. With this feature, the use of shortcuts can be easier, and even ordinary users will be able to create useful shortcuts using natural language.
- Google Gemini: Apple and Google are on the verge of an agreement that adds Google Gemini to the iPhone as a replacement for the ChatGpt, and this feature will probably be seen in iOS 26. Google Gemini, like ChatGpt, is integrated with Siri, and Siri can send requests to Gemini to receive deeper artificial intelligence answers.
- Siri (Siri): We are still waiting for all the personalized features of Apple’s artificial intelligence that have been introduced at the WWDC 2024. These updates are expected to be available in part of iOS 26, but they may not be ready for the original version of the software. If this feature is not ready, Apple will not mention it in WWDC 2025 to prevent more problems. Features that will be presented are:
- Understand the Personal Field: Siri will be able to track everything on your device, such as emails, messages, files, and more and help you perform tasks and find information.
- Aware of the content on the page: Siri will understand what is on your page and can take action on what you see.
- Deep integration with programs: Siri will be able to do more in and out of the programs and take steps that are not currently possible with this personal assistant. This feature will be available for Apple apps and third -party applications.
Game app (Gaming App) Apple has a new game program that will replace Game Center and provide more capabilities. This program accommodates the game’s game section, so you can find and run games from a central and focused place. The program is also expected to have communication options for connecting with other players, in -game achievements, proposed and editor content, and points.
New features for existing applications suggest that several new features for Apple apps are on the way.
- Messages (messages): Automatic translation and survey support.
- Music (music): The artist’s full -screen animated image on the lock screen.
- Notes (notes): Support for Markdown.
- CarPlay: Updated user interface to fit iOS 26.

Live translation with Airpods Live Translate) With an AirPads mid -range update, iOS 26 to AirPads allows translating in -person conversations from one language to another. If an English -speaking person talks to AirPads with a Spanish person, the iPhone detects the sound, translates the speech and translates it into English to the AirPads user.
Connectivity (Connectivity) Apple is adding a new feature that syncs the Captive Wi-Fi portals among the devices. Therefore, you will only need to enter the login information for a public Wi-Fi network once and this information will be available in all your Apple products. Public networks are usually common in hotels, airports, coffee shops and other places with shared or paid internet options. Apple may also make it easier to move ESIM from the iPhone to Android smartphones.
Health Plan (Health App) A new health plan is on the way, but it may not be ready at the time of iOS 26, so Apple may not yet unveil it. The redesigned program apparently offers artificial intelligence -based health coaching features with customized health recommendations. There may also be a new food tracking capability that allows users to track their daily calories.
Stage Manager Apple is likely to add the Stage Manager feature for iPhone models that have a USB-C port. This feature is activated when connecting the iPhone to an external display via USB-C. The Stage Manager allows multiple applications to be opened simultaneously and offers a more similar Mac experience when using the iPhone with the display.
Accessibility Features (Accessibility of Features) Apple previewed new accessibility features that come to iOS 26 earlier this year, and there are some interesting new ones.
- Music Touch Feedback (Music Haptics): Customization options for music touch feedback are added to enable touch feedback for the entire song or just a voice. There will also be options to adjust the severity of impacts, tissues and vibrations.
- App Store Tags (App Store Labels): App Store Products Pages will have accessible information labels that highlight the accessibility features of the applications.
- Accessibility Reader: It is a system -level reading mode that makes it easier to read the text by customizing the fonts, color, distance and more.
- CarPlay: CarPlay will support large text and sound detection that will notify drivers of the baby’s crying, horn and siren.
- Background Sounds: Background Sounds: The background sounds will be customizable with the new Eucolizer settings, timing and automatic measures in Shortcuts.
- Personal Voice (Personal Voice): Personal voice allows users to maintain their voice faster and easier. This feature uses machine learning on the machine to make a smoother and more natural sound in less than a minute.
- Tracking (Tracking): Head and eye tracking receive updates, plus Apple adds support for brain and computer interface devices.
The iPados 26 iPados 26 will receive the same design updates that come to the iPhone, so it will have a similar glass and transparent appearance. It has also been rumored that Apple is working on adding new features that make the iPad experience more like Mac, including improving productivity, new multitasking features, and wider window management options. The iPados 26 may have a Mac -like menu while connecting to the Magic Keyboard, plus Apple adds a new calligraphy pen option for Apple Pencil users who need to write the Arabic line.
Compatibility rumors suggest that iOS 26 will not be available on the iPhone XR, iPhone XS or XS Max, but will run on all other iPhones that support iOS 18. These models are:
- IPhone 16E
- IPhone 2
- IPhone 4 Plus
- IPhone 4 Pro
