In the competitive marketplace of the mid -range smartphones, Samsung has just unveiled two new Galaxy A series members, the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36. The two recently launched phones in the Indian market have attracted the attention of many technology enthusiasts. In this review, we will take a closer look at these two devices. The Galaxy A series has always played an important role in Samsung’s success, and the two new models are expected to continue.
In terms of design and construction quality, the previous generation of these phones, the Galaxy A35 and A55, used the design, in which the three camera sensors were separately. However, in the design of the Galaxy A36 and A56, Samsung has taken a different approach and placed all three camera lenses in a vertical module under a cover of durable glass. In the A56, when touching this module, the bumps of each sensor can be detected, while the glass surface in the A36 is perfectly smooth. Due to the position of this module at the top left of the back cover, both phones are not fully on smooth surfaces without the use of protective frame.
Compared to the previous generation, Samsung has reduced the dimensions of the display margins in both models. The right edge of both devices still hosts the volume and power key buttons that are easily recognizable by their highlight. Both phones have an IP67 standard to resist water and dust penetration and use the Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection glass to protect the back panel and display. Another notable point is the use of plastic frames in the A36 structure and the metal frame in A56. Despite the acceptable build quality of both devices for a mid -range handset, their visual recognition from each other at first glance is not easy because of its appearance.
The weight of both the Galaxy A56 and A36 is slightly less than 2 grams and only 1.5 mm thick. The AWESOME LAVENDER A36 shows a beautiful holographic color spectra, while the Olive A56 color version looks matte and dignified.
In the display and sound quality, both the Galaxy A56 and the Galaxy A36 use a 5.5 -inch FHD+ resolution and a 5 Hz refresh rate, which is slightly larger than the previous generation of displays. These displays are capable of maximizing the brightness of 2 nits and reaching 2 nits in high brightness. Despite the same size, it looks like the A56 uses a more quality display panel than the A36. The integrated fingerprint sensor is also fitted in a good place and offers fast performance. The upper speaker is at the top edge of the screen and the main speaker at the bottom edge and gives a balanced sound to the user.
In terms of performance and software, the Galaxy A56 uses the Exynos 1580 chip, while the Galaxy A36 is equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip. Both chips are suitable for everyday tasks, but they should not expect to perform similar to flagship phones. The Exynos 1580 chip is a completely new chipset with AMD architecture -based graphics processor and the NPU with the power of 2 Traflas, indicating a remarkable upgrade compared to the Exynos 1480 chip used in the previous generation. Both phones use LPDDR4X RAM. In the internal storage section, the A36 uses the UFS 2.2 memory and the A56 faster the UFS 3.1 memory.
One of the prominent features of the Galaxy A56 and A36 is their use of the One UI 7 interface based on the Android OS. This is similar to the user interface used in the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung has also promised that both devices will receive Android operating system updates and security updates for six years. A number of default Samsung, Google and other developers have also been installed on these phones, but none of them send annoying notifications.
The Galaxy A56 uses a set of artificial intelligence capabilities called Awesome Intelligence, including things like Circle to Search, AI Select, Custom Filter, Edit Suggestions, Object Eraser and Read Aloud. In contrast, the Galaxy A36 is equipped with some of these features such as Circle to Search, Custom Filters and Object Eraser.

In the camera and other features, both the Galaxy A36 and A56 have a 2 -megapixel selfie camera capable of capturing 4K videos at 4 frames per second and 2 -bit color depth. In the rear panel, the Galaxy A36 uses a triple camera system with an optical 2 -megapixel main sensor (OIS), a 2 -megapixel super -megapixel sensor and a 2 -megapixel macro sensor. The Galaxy A56 also uses a similar combination, including an OIS -megapixel 2 -megapixel main sensor, a 2 -megapixel width sensor and a 2 -megapixel macro sensor. Although the resolution of the main cameras has not changed compared to the previous generation, both phones record quality images under different light conditions.
Both the Galaxy A56 and A36 are equipped with a 2 mAh battery with a 4 -watt fast charge capability. It is worth noting that even the Galaxy S25 does not support 4 -watt fast charging technology and uses a 2 -watt charge due to its lower capacity and low -capacity battery dimensions. In the connection section, both phones support ESIM, Wi-Fi 6 dual bands, Bluetooth version 4.3 (in A36) and version 4.3 (in A56) as well as NFC. While the previous generation of these phones had a hybrid SIM card port that allowed the MicroSD memory card, Samsung has eliminated this feature in the A36 and A56 models.
Overall, the Galaxy A56 is known as the more powerful model of the series, which features features such as metal frames, faster UFS 3.1 internal memory, Exynos 1580 chip and a set of artificial intelligence capabilities. In contrast, the Galaxy A36, despite the use of plastic frame and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, continues to provide a mental use experience with functional artificial intelligence features such as Circle to Search and Object Eraser. Both devices use an AMOLED 4.7 -inch display at a 5 Hz refresh rate, IP67 standard water resistance and 2 mAh battery with a 4 -watt charge capability that provide users with a satisfactory user experience.
In the Indian market, the Galaxy A56 and A36 are available in three memory configurations: 1GB of RAM along with 2GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM with 2GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM with 2GB of internal storage. The prices set for the A56 are around US $ 1, $ 2 and $ 2, respectively. The handset will be available in olive, graphite and light gray colors. On the other hand, the A36 will be sold at approximately US $ 1, $ 2 and $ 2.
