The European Space Agency’s Euclid telescope, which was launched in early July, has now reached its destination by reaching the L2 Lagrangian point.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, the Euclid telescope was launched from the Cape Carnival center and has now arrived home after nearly a month. The announcement of the European Space Agency shows that Euclid has reached its destination after traveling approximately 1.5 million kilometers, and its placement alongside James Webb and Gaia was shown in animation by the European Space Agency. In the animation, each of them can be seen while traveling.
The location of this telescope is up to the Lagrangian point L2. This point is located at a distance four times the distance from the Moon to the Earth. In fact, the Moon, the Sun and the Earth are now behind the mentioned telescopes. This point is located in a position that is far from the heat of the sun, and thus the telescopes will also be safe from this heat. The Euclid telescope is equipped with very sensitive sensors and this makes this telescope to be placed in a very stable orbit.
