According to the Mehr news agency, citing the Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC), the vice president of energy and the CEO of the fuel consumption optimization company visited the ISC institute.
Mohammad Mehdi Alavianmehr, the head of ISC institute, explained the goals and missions of this institute and said: the activities of this institute are not limited to indexing journals; Rather, improving the quality of articles, facilitating the connection between industry and university, and supporting technology at different levels are among its other main missions. The ultimate goal of this institution is to support the cycle of science and technology both at the national level and at the level of Islamic countries.
He continued: In data-oriented organizations, the first step is data collection and the next step is data analysis and presentation of useful reports for audiences and stakeholders. Based on this, the products and analytical reports of this collection have been used by a wide range of institutions in the country, including universities (faculty members, students, and university presidents), research institutes, as well as decision-making institutions such as the Islamic Council and the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution. Major decisions in the field of science and technology of the country are made in many cases based on these reports and analyses.
In this regard, in the 7th Progress Program, several important tasks have been assigned to ISC, among which we can mention the support of targeted and demand-oriented research. Part of this path is followed through specialized systems.
In another part of his speech, he mentioned the future plans of this institute and said: We have two important transformation programs including “digital transformation” and “artificial intelligence development” on our agenda. To provide service to different science and technology sectors of the country, we have no choice but to use new and up-to-date tools.
According to Mohammad Mahdi Alavianmehr, head of Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC), the purpose of this visit was to check the capacities available in the ISC Institute to help resolve the “energy imbalance” in the country. The ISC institute, one of its main tasks is to monitor the field of science and technology of the country, has developed and implemented programs in this regard.
Alavian Mehr added: During this visit, the parties evaluated the fields of cooperation between ISC Institute and Fuel Consumption Optimization Company. It was decided to focus cooperation in several key areas of development of energy systems and artificial intelligence.
The head of Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC) continued: According to the existing capacities in ISC, cooperation in the field of creating a specialized portal (portal) of energy in the system of needs and ideas (NAN) will be formed for the fuel consumption optimization company and the deputy energy of the presidential institution, also a joint cooperation in the field of using artificial intelligence technologies in the field of energy was agreed upon. These cooperations will enter the implementation phase after the finalization of the future memorandum between the parties.
Mohsen Mohammadpour, Assistant Minister of Oil in the field of production and CEO of Fuel Consumption Optimization Company, praised the scientific and research achievements of this institute in the field of energy optimization and development of new technologies.
He announced the positive achievements of the meeting with the ISC Institute and said: It was decided to conclude a memorandum of understanding between the Fuel Consumption Optimization Company and the ISC Institute, which will focus on the development of artificial intelligence and modern systems so that the country’s research needs in the field of optimization can be used.
He stated: In addition, in Shiraz University of Technology, the focus on the development of electric vehicle technology, the use of engines produced by this university, as well as the technologies related to renewable energy and smart building (with the aim of thermal comfort and reducing energy consumption) were examined.
Mohammadpour expressed his hope that by using the capacities of science and technology, especially in the field of industry, we will witness a definite reduction in electricity next year. One of the effective measures is the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Optimization Company, the Vice President of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Oil, the Islamic World Reference Institute and Shiraz University of Technology, after which research and industrial contracts will also be implemented.
