According to RCO News Agency, citing the National Cancer Research Institute, on the first day of the Islamic Revolution, a group of young scientific elites and medalists of the country’s Olympiads attended the National Cancer Research Institute of Jihad University and visited various parts of this scientific and research complex. This visit was held with the aim of acquainting young elites with the capabilities, achievements and technological approaches of the National Cancer Research Institute, as well as strengthening the relationship between the elite society and leading institutions in the field of health and research.

At the beginning of this program, Dr. Ramin Sarami Forushani, while welcoming the young elites, emphasized the new approach of academic jihad in the targeted support of young talents and said: In the new policies of academic jihad, there is a special concern for the presence of young elites, gifted students and scientific creative forces, and we welcome the presence of the country’s scientific elites at the National Cancer Research Institute and we are ready to cooperate with them in various scientific, research and technological fields.

Referring to the decisive role of the young generation in the scientific progress of the country, the head of the National Cancer Research Institute of Jihad Adanghi added: “Academic Jihad has always tried to be the connecting link between the university, research and the real needs of the society, and in this direction, the young elites play a central role. The National Cancer Research Institute, as one of the specialized collections of academic jihad, is considered a suitable platform for the flourishing of talents and the transformation of new ideas into practical achievements.

Sarami Forushani further stated: The reason for my presence in your group is that I deeply believe that each of you can be the source of great things for the country. Many important scientific discoveries and advances have been the result of the efforts of motivated, brave and talented people; People who stood right where you are today.

The head of the National Cancer Research Institute emphasized the necessity of trusting the internal capabilities and the elite youth and stated: You have a very good field to make an impact and these capabilities can be used in the best possible way in this country. Our belief at the National Cancer Research Institute is that Iranian elites can play a role at the forefront of solving the country’s basic problems, especially in the field of health and treatment.

Explaining the mission-oriented approach of the National Cancer Research Institute, he said: In this research institute, we are not limited to research in the sense of producing articles. Our vision is to transform knowledge into technology and bring research results to the patient’s bedside. Our main goal is that research leads to product, technology and finally to improve the quality of life of patients.

Sarami Forushani added: The presence of young elites in such a path can create a serious change. As the human capital of this country, you have the ability to create new paths in the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of diseases, especially cancer, by combining science, creativity and motivation.

In another part of his speech, the head of the National Jihad University Cancer Research Institute, referring to the proud history of the Islamic Revolution and the Holy Defense era, considered this period as a clear example of the youth’s role-playing and said: “During the Holy Defense era, it was the youth and elites who did great things for the country with the least resources, but with the most faith, motivation and creativity, and changed the equations.” Today, the country needs the same spirit, courage and self-confidence in the field of science and technology.

He emphasized: If that generation was able to defend the country and create pride in difficult conditions, today your generation can make lasting honors for Iran in the field of science and technology, and the National Cancer Research Institute is ready to be by your side on this path and support your ideas and scientific power.

In the continuation of this program, the elites present visited various departments of the National Cancer Research Institute, including specialized laboratories, research units and departments related to technology development, and got to know closely the activities, projects and achievements of this research institute. During this visit, explanations were given about the cooperation paths of students and elites with the research institute, research opportunities and the possibility of participation in technological projects.
