According to Mehr news agency, citing University of Tehran, seismographic networks of National Seismological Center of Geophysics Institute recorded and determined the location of 461 earthquakes in the country and neighboring areas in December 1404.
In this month, 11 earthquakes with a magnitude greater than 4.0 were recorded in the country and border areas, the largest of which was the 23rd earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 in the vicinity of Bahabad, Yazd province.
The most earthquake prone provinces
Yazd: 52 earthquakes
South Khorasan: 25 earthquakes
Kerman: 38 earthquakes
In January 1404, 9 earthquakes were recorded in Tehran province, the largest earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 was located near Arjamand.
