According to Mehr reporter, Mahmoud Kamreei said at the press conference of the 9th Festival of Young Thinkers and Scientists, which was held this morning, Tuesday, December 18, at the University of Tehran: The 9th Festival of Young Thinkers and Scientists will be held on December 26. The records of the last eight editions show that this festival has become a dynamic platform for the growth and flourishing of young talents.
Referring to the increase in the quality of the ideas sent to the festival, he added: According to the organizers, the new and strong ideas submitted to the festival in this period are of a higher quality than the previous periods. This matter has been approved by the judges and it shows the increase of activities and the deepening of the participation of those interested.
Kamerei explained about the axes of the festival: This specialized festival covers the main fields of mathematics, computer, geology and biology every year, and this year a special axis of environment has been added to it. This approach emphasizes that the development of science and technology in the world should be done in line with the vital issues of the day, including environmental protection.
Referring to the activities of the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Supporters Foundation of Tehran University of Technology said: Jamili Foundation, which supports the festival of thinkers and young scientists, plays a charitable and supportive role in this direction. This foundation, which operates in the fields of basic sciences, practically takes on the duties that are usually the responsibility of the government and educational institutions of the country, and with the aim of developing the frontiers of knowledge and technology, plays a central role in holding this festival.
He continued: Expert judging has been done and the final selected ideas will be presented in a ceremony that will be held on December 26. The activity of superior ideas does not stop after being introduced; Rather, these people can benefit from Jamili Foundation’s material and research support for the development and commercialization of their ideas.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Supporters Foundation of Tehran University of Technical Faculty said: Fortunately, in the past years, many of the ideas presented in this festival have turned into new products and achievements, and every year one or two prominent professors in their respective fields provide the necessary support to these young researchers.
The vice-chancellor of Tehran University expressed his hope that with the continuation of the support, this festival will continue to strengthen the country’s expert and research manpower.
