According to RCO News Agency, citing the Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidency, with the efforts of the Technology Exchange Office of the Organization for the Development of Scientific Cooperation and technologically International, the second day of the seventh meeting of the working group of research infrastructures and scientific megaprojects of the member countries brix (BRICS) was held in Parsian Azadi Hotel with the presence of members in person and online.
In continuation of yesterday’s meetings, the countries willing to present their proposals to expand cooperation technologically and conducted research with the members of this group.
During this meeting, the Islamic Republic of Iran put forward a series of key proposals that focused on the development of common scientific infrastructure.
The most important axes proposed by Iran included cooperation in large-scale research projects. Iran announced its readiness to cooperate in major infrastructure projects such as the development of synchrotrons (particle accelerators) and also emphasized cooperation in the field of Iran’s National Observatory.
Another important proposal of Iran is to join and connect the laboratory network of the country to the laboratory network of the member countries brix was to facilitate mutual access to advanced equipment and expertise.
In this regard, the representatives of Brazil and South Africa also made proposals in the field of joint cooperation in the field of physics laboratories Stormy (Astroparticle Physics) presented.
In the final part, the participants of this meeting will visit the National Brain Center of Iran in order to be closely informed about the achievements of this center.
