The revival of humanities is on the agenda at the National Elite Foundation – RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, citing the National Elite Foundation, Seyyed Hassan Hosseini stated in the meeting of the elites and leaders of the humanities under the title of the crisis of the inefficiency of the humanities and social sciences: At first, the vice presidential scientific office and the elite foundation were established based on an engineering-oriented thinking, and the humanities received less attention.

The senior adviser of the National Elite Foundation continued: These inefficiencies exist in the two areas of solving political and social crises and influencing the political system and governance. In this regard, we held meetings with the elites of this field under the title of the crisis of inefficiency in the humanities and social sciences.

Stating that we are looking for results from these meetings, he said: the product of these meetings should not be of an academic nature, but should be operational and practical. The outcome of these meetings should not necessarily affect the larger issues of the society. When the doctors met with the Supreme Leader during the Corona era, according to the doctors, the shrine of the Lady of Dignity was closed, and this means the dominance of the medical discourse in the country, but the governance system does not trust the humanities community. We should seek to develop a guiding document or regulation.

Seyyed Saeedreza Montazeri, the head of Qom Province Elite Foundation, also noted in this meeting: This meeting was held in line with the development of codified programs for the application of humanities, and another goal of this meeting; Analysis is about the inefficiency of humanities and social sciences in the country and society.

He added: There should be discussions and meetings with elites, researchers and researchers in this field to identify the relevant issues, compile a document and find solutions. This mission was assigned to Dr. Seyyed Hassan Hosseini, professor of Sharif Industrial Philosophy and Chairman of the Elite Foundation Council.

Montazeri stated: So far, two consultations have been held with humanities experts in Tehran, considering the position of Qom province in the field of humanities studies. The third think-tank was planned in this province so that we can benefit from the presence and solutions of the leaders of humanities in the province.

He reminded: We tried to invite humanities experts in this meeting and we are proud that the elite foundation of the province has hosted this meeting.
