“The first category consists of scientists who live and work in Islamic countries, and the second includes Muslim scientists living in non -Islamic countries,” he said. The sixth edition of the award will also be held on the eve of the Week of Unity and the Prophet (peace be upon him).
The head of the Mustafa Prize Scientific Working Group also announced the addition of the “Young Scientist” section to the Awards Collection, adding: “This section was created by the two former selection, Mr. Farrokhzad and Mr. Shahin. This dedication allows them to identify and award a number of young scientists selected through the precise process.
Salehi also said about the scientific fields of the winners: In the past five periods, researchers from various disciplines such as basic science, engineering, medicine, nano, biotechnology and information technology have been selected. The most important criterion for choice is to achieve achievements that have a tangible and positive effect on improving the quality of human life.
He emphasized: One of the important achievements of this award is to create an effective context for the exchange of knowledge and experience among the scholars of the Islamic world, whether resident and non -resident, which can help develop the boundaries of knowledge in human societies and Muslim countries.
Salehi said about the global status of the award: “The Mustafa Prize is highly respected and the process of selecting its electors is very accurate and scientific and based on reputable scientific indicators.
He also added that the funds of the award are funded through the support of charities and large companies, and according to parliamentary resolutions, companies can participate in scientific and research activities, which plays an important role in the advancement of science and research. The Board of Directors has the Management Award and the CEO of the Foundation also works alongside the team.
Salehi said at the end: “It is possible to hold this event in other Islamic countries and we hope that in the future we will be able to hold this award in other capitals of the Islamic world.” It has been negotiated with several potential countries and the countries around them have announced their readiness. This route is not closed and consultations are ongoing.
