Before this, many researches were conducted regarding the use of vitamin D supplements and its relationship with reducing heart diseases. Now, in a new study, researchers announced that the use of these supplements can reduce the risk of heart attack by 1%.
According to Tekna’s technology and technology news service, the researchers of QIMR Berghofer Institute of Epidemic Medical Research in Australia announced in a new study that the use of supplements containing vitamin D reduces the risk of heart attack by 19%. This study is considered the second extensive study in this field. In this research, 21,302 people between the ages of 60 and 84 were used for 5 years. A group of these people received supplements and another group used a placebo. Meanwhile, 6% of the people who received the supplement were involved in serious cardiovascular problems. While in the other group, this number reached 6.6 percent.
In general, the rate of heart attacks or strokes was 19% lower in people receiving supplements. According to the researchers, these two groups did not differ from each other in terms of stroke. According to the results of this research, the effectiveness of receiving this supplement is greater than taking statin tablets or other heart medications. Of course, this issue should be subject to more research. Of course, people with heart diseases should not take these supplements without consulting a doctor.
