According to the Vice President of Science, Technology and Economics of the Presidential President, the future of the Persian Gulf Geopolitical Region, emphasizing the new and constructive strategies in Iran -Saudi relations, is the title of a postgraduate project with the support of the National Iranian Science Foundation and hosted by the Iranian National Science Foundation.
Rahimi said with a PhD in Geographical Science – Political Geography of the University of Tehran about the project: Despite the many commonalities between the countries in the Persian Gulf geopolitical region in various economic, cultural, political, military, geographical and other areas, in the past decades of relations between the countries of this region.
He added: “If we exclude some bilateral and multilateral cooperation from the general atmosphere of the Geopolitical Gulf region, competitions and tensions formed between the countries of the region in recent years have had no achievement other than intensifying geopolitical crises. The conditions that have consistently paid heavy costs in the region, as well as the opportunity to convergence and synergy to overcome tensions and achieve a constructive interaction.
Rahimi continued: Rahimi in the geopolitical region of the Persian Gulf, which was fueled by some Arab states of the Persian Gulf, especially Saudi Arabia, and earlier supported by the US government’s direct support, and the national security and interests of the United States and the region have greatly reduced Iran’s security and consequences, such as the consequences of reducing Iran. He noted that due to the key role in Iran and Saudi Arabia in the geopolitical developments of the Persian Gulf, finding mechanisms that focus on new and constructive relations between the two countries lead to increasing convergence and reducing the areas of tension and conflict, it could promise a better future with the guarantee of all the national interests in the region.
He noted that this study, by understanding this issue and the opportunities ahead, seeks to identify and determine the role and position of the most important actors affecting the geopolitical developments in the region, technical evaluation of their goals and approaches, and designing desirable scenarios to improve relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia as two important and important powers.
Rahimi said at the end: Emphasis on economic issues, enhancing regional interaction in the field of energy, water and the environment, avoiding disagreement, especially in ideological areas, and helping transnational powers in line with China and Russia, are among the key actions in the field of research.
