, Knowledge and Technology Group, Saad Tabataba’iinia: Iranians have long been a people who lived in arid and semi -arid climates, with dehydration and water has been considered as a rare gem for centuries.
In the last five decades, with the expansion of the higher education system in Iran and the growth of scientific capacities, this concern has expanded among various academics. Many academics, including the late Dr. Parviz Kordvani; Geographers and desertists have been shouting for years to promote “water concerns” and prevent misconduct policies. But this concern was not just a warning. Today, the footprint of water concerns can be found in scientific and academic research. Iranian universities and researchers in various disciplines have been consistent with the issue of drought and drought.
A look at the information recorded in international databases such as Squopus and Webwells, as well as the Irandak Treasure System, which collects data on the dissertations and dissertations of researchers, shows that the issue of water and drought is one of the most prominent and serious research issues in Iran. Thousands of scientific articles, dissertations and academic dissertations have been published in this field, and various universities have played a role in this field.
This report, by examining the data of three valid databases, depicts a picture of water concerns at Iranian universities and shows the capacities of these scientific institutions in solving the water problem.
Searching for dehydration and drought -related keywords at the Scopus base and reviewing articles published by Iranian researchers on the site shows that there have been 1,800 scientific documents so far. In general, the process of publishing in the fields of water and drought has been upward and the largest number of articles in this field has been published in year 6.
Tehran, Islamic Azad, Tarbiat Modarres, Shiraz and Tabriz University have published the highest number of articles in the field at the Scopus base.

Nearly 2 % of the documents published in this citation database have been published as an article. Also, 5 % of the documents were published as a conference article, 2 % of the book chapter and 4.9 % as a review article. Other types of scientific products hold a small portion of the documents.
4.9 % of the documents in this field in the field of environmental sciences, 4.9 percent in agriculture and biological sciences, and 4.9 percent in land and planets, 4.9 percent in engineering and 4.9 percent in the social sciences.
Many professors have been involved in the preparation of these articles, but surveys show that Mohammad Trainee; Professor of Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Tehran, Reza Karachian; Director of the Journal of Iranian Water Resources Research and Professor of Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Tehran and Omid Bozorg Haddad; Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of Tehran University has written the most articles in this field.
A review of the Web -Science database and the search for the same keyword in this database also shows that there have been 2,800 scientific documents in the field of drought and dehydration.
A review of the publishing process shows that the general publication of the article has been almost upward, but has declined slightly in year 2.

5 % of the documents published on this topic are on the Webwell. 4.9 % of the review article, 4.3 % of conference articles, and 4.9 % of early access articles.

Nearly 4.3 % of articles in the field of water resources, 4.9 percent of articles in the field of environmental science, 4.9 percent in plant science, 4.9 percent in agriculture, and nearly 2 percent of articles in the field of civil engineering.
4.3 % of articles published on Webwells in this field have been published by Islamic Azad University. Then Tehran University, Shiraz University, Isfahan University of Technology and Shiraz University have published the most articles in this field.

Alireza thankkhah; Professor of Agriculture Faculty of Shiraz, Mohammad Mehdi Majidi Professor of Agriculture Faculty of Isfahan University of Technology and Omid Bozorg Haddad; Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of Tehran University has published the most articles in this field.
Thesis and dissertation
The search for keywords related to drought and drought in the Irandak Treasure System shows that so far, 2,000 proposals (proposals), thesis and dissertation (Parsa) related to these issues have been recorded in the system, with documents of 1,800 of which are dissertations and dissertations.

In the past 5 years, each year, an average of 1,600 theses, dissertations and proposals have been recorded in this system. 1,600 of them are for the postgraduate course and 1,600 are related to the PhD (PHD).
Most of these registered cases were carried out by the Faculty of Agriculture of Urmia University, Faculty of Agriculture of Tabriz University, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Faculty of Agriculture Tarbiat Modarres and Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Mohaghegh Ardebili University.
Most of the dissertations, dissertations and proposals in this field have been registered in the Treasure Treasure System by researchers in the fields of agricultural engineering, civil engineering, geography, natural resource engineering and humanities.
According to Mehr, the compilation of thousands of articles, dissertations and thesis shows that today’s water concerns are on research routes and are rooted in universities. But despite the mass production of scientific research in this field, there is no clear sign of the link between the university, policy making and decision -making.
While the chart of publishing article and scientific works has a growing trend, Iranian water reserves have been declining. Today, the touch of water is not unique to the small towns and the remote village, and the fear of water is rooted in all. In the middle of the summer 1 The big cities and capital of Iran have welcomed the crisis with a drop in water pressure and speculation about a day of holiday more a week to save consumption.
The publication of thousands of articles, theses, and dissertations can be a sign of academics ‘determination to participate in solving society’s problems, but the prevailing conditions show that policymakers and decision makers have no motivation to use the researchers’ findings.
In recent weeks, Massoud Mediian has repeatedly addressed the issue of water crisis and the use of universities to solve the problem. He urged universities to present their solutions to government meetings. This may be a sign of serious universities in solving problems, but whether or not the new co -operation between policymakers and the university will lead to a tangible output is a question that the future will answer.
