Referring to the new conditions and notes added to the regulations of the research assistant scheme, he said: In the amended regulations, we reduced the GPA requirement from 18 to 17.5 so that more doctoral students can participate in this scheme.

Afshin added: According to the previous regulations, students applying for a doctorate degree had to participate in the comprehensive exam until the end of the 3rd semester and defend their proposal until the end of the 4th semester, but now a note has been added that the students who took the comprehensive exam until the 5th semester Those who have passed and defended their proposal are also eligible to receive this support. Therefore, students who have completed the proposal defense and comprehensive exam by the end of the fifth semester can participate in this plan.

In the end, the head of the National Elite Foundation noted: Previously, the winners of at least five rounds of the Shahid Vazawi scheme were included in this scheme, which has been reduced to three rounds in the new regulation.

According to Mehr’s report, for the first time in the country, in order to facilitate the educational conditions of talented full-time PhD students and to focus more on scientific and research activities, the foundation grants them a special facility in the form of a “research assistant plan”, which is a part of this facility.
