The virtual training workshop of the call for “multidisciplinary research clusters” will be held in February this year under the auspices of the National Science Foundation of Iran.
According to RCO News Agency, In order to support interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research and to solve problems and respond to the country’s needs, the National Science Foundation of Iran supports the formation of multispecialty research clusters centered on prominent professors of the country under the third call for “Multispecialty Research Clusters”.
The support of the National Science Foundation of Iran to multi-specialty research clusters with the aim of dealing with transformative and opportunity-creating research is carried out under the following conditions:
* In the final selection of the clusters, addressing the needs and topics of current and transformative research and the quality of the scientific activity of the applicants for the last 5 years are taken into consideration.
* After judging the received proposals, it is expected that 5 to 7 clusters will be supported in this period. The deadline for sending the application is until the end of 30th of Bahman 1403.
* For each cluster, credit is allocated for a period of 3 years. Annual renewal will be based on annual assessment. Extension is possible after the third year, up to the fifth year in special circumstances and after evaluating the achievements.
According to the Iranian National Science Foundation (INSF), the amount of support for each cluster in the first year will be 66.16 billion Rials and in the following years with some adjustments based on inflation conditions.
In order to familiarize the researchers with the goals and the proposed method of preparation of this call, a virtual workshop will be held on the second day of February from 15:00 to 17:00.
