NASA’s Curiosity rover, which is exploring Mars, has recently captured an image of the planet showing the passage of sunlight in the morning and evening. The landscape seen in this image is similar to a postcard.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, the Curiosity rover recorded an image of Mars in April this year, which is considered one of the first images recorded after sleeping for several days. NASA engineers were able to perform 180 updates for Curiosity during its three- to seven-day sleep.
One of the most important updates received by this device is to increase the quality of the camera images and reduce the friction of the wheels. The beautiful image captured by this rover is a panoramic image in which two photos are pasted together and are related to the morning and evening of this planet. The combination of sunlight created a beautiful image in which more details can be seen than standard photos.
Doug Ellison, one of the engineers of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Curiosity’s telescope, says in this regard: the image of the landscape in the morning and in the evening is different from each other, and recording the image during the day will cause the appearance of dark shadows. But in this photo, without the stage lights, only the sunlight can be seen. Also, the original image was prepared in black and white, but NASA engineers made it in color. The details of the new photo are much more than. The photos are old. The main reason is the presence of winter season and reduction of atmospheric dust.
