Astronomers’ new map shows the chaos of the Milky Way

Astronomers used its youngest objects to create the most serious map of the Milky Way galaxy and its spiral arms. The result was a very messy map.

In fact, the density of stars is not high in it. Of course, these places have more star formation than other places. These arms are usually formed by gravitational interactions with satellite galaxies.

Gravitational arms cause the density of the area around them by the movement of their cheek waves. At this time, due to the destabilization and collapse of gas clouds, a new round of star formation is created.

Astronomers can easily map the spiral structures of distant galaxies. But making an accurate map of the arms of the Milky Way is more difficult. Because our location in the galactic disk is similar to the arms, this puts us in front of tens of thousands of light-years of gas and dust that can block light wavelengths. For this reason, creating a map of our galaxy will be full of ambiguity and speculation.

Recently, a map of the Milky Way galaxy was prepared by astronomers, which shows its spiral structure. To prepare this map, they used young stars, open clusters and regions of stars with high shrines.
