A popular Washington sushi restaurant has been shut down after a controversial video was posted on Tik Tok.
A popular sushi restaurant in Washington, Fab Sushi Bar, has decided to temporarily close after a video posted by food influencer Keith Lee raised concerns about its food safety, according to Techna Media’s medical and health news service. It has two branches in Bellevue and Seattle.
According to Tekna Technology Media Scientific News Department, in a video published on November 10, Lee, who is famous for reviewing various restaurants, criticized the restaurant’s sushi dishes. However, towards the end of the video, one of his followers claimed to have seen movement in the prepared sushi, raising concerns about the presence of worms in the food.
Fab Sushi Bar initially denied the claim, stating that the observed movement in the fish could be due to the natural characteristics of the fish or the pressure of the chopsticks. However, with growing concerns and public pressure, the restaurant decided to conduct a thorough investigation and for this purpose, temporarily closed both of its branches.
In their official statement, Fab Sushi Bar emphasized that the health and safety of their customers is their top priority and they are committed to complying with the highest hygiene standards. The Seattle and King County Public Health Departments are also investigating the matter, and no official report has been released yet.
