According to RCO News Agency, The results of the ninth joint call of the National Science Foundation of Iran and the Joint Scientific Fund of the Silk Road (SRSF) were announced. In this call, out of 44 joint proposals of Iranian and Chinese researchers in two areas related to bioengineering and advanced materials, and after evaluation by the National Science Foundation of Iran and the Joint Scientific Fund of the Silk Road, finally the number Six designs were accepted. The proposals received in this call were independently judged and scientifically evaluated by the parties after the initial review and approval of the list of projects received in both countries.
According to the public relations of the National Science Foundation of Iran (INSF), in the National Science Foundation of Iran, projects were evaluated in specialized working groups, and this evaluation included judging each project by relevant experts and summarizing the judgments and scoring the projects in the meeting of the relevant specialized working group. Then, the results of the evaluations were evaluated in the international committee consisting of the representatives of the working groups. Finally, after exchanging the results with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the designs approved by the parties that managed to get a high score in both organizations were selected.
It should be mentioned that the scientific evaluation carried out in the foundation is based on indicators such as: a) the results of arbitrations; b) the necessity of the presence of foreign performers and added value for the country, such as the expertise of researchers, laboratory facilities and technical knowledge; c) Ability of the executive and colleagues; d) the importance of the issue from the national point of view; e) Project outputs; f) The quality of the proposal has been made.
It also notes that due to the competitive nature of this call and due to the limited number of acceptable projects and the inclusion of the evaluation results of two countries in the final summary, some of the proposals were not placed in the final priority of support despite the high scientific quality and positive judging results in the foundation. .
