According to RCO News Agency, Mohammad Pourmohamad Shahvar, head of the National Accelerometer Network and secretary of the Geological Hazards Committee of Tehran, said: “This operation has been carried out to increase preparedness and synergize information in a specific environment to monitor and interpret data related to geological hazards, so that in case of occurrence Local events that cannot be recorded in regional and national networks, provide the required data to interpret local events.
The head of the national accelerometer network added: This network includes gravimetric, GPS, seismograph, accelerometer, and geoelectric equipment in the crisis management base of the 18th district of Yafet Abad, Tehran.
Quoting from the public relations of the Road, Housing and Urban Development Research Center, he stated: Various organizations, including the Geological Organization, the Country Mapping Organization, the Tehran City Crisis Prevention and Management Organization, the Natural Disasters Research Institute, the Earthquake Research Institute and the Road, Housing and Urban Development Research Center have installed and launched portable equipment related to their governance duties on a trial basis.
