China launched eight remote sensing satellites into the Sun’s orbit with its “Smart Dragon 3” rocket.
According to RCO News Agency, China has conducted another sea launch.
According to Spacey, One of China’s Jielong-3 missiles, also known as Smart Dragon-3, was lifted off from a floating platform off the coast of eastern China.
The Smart Dragon 3 rocket carried eight remote sensing satellites into Khurshid Ahang orbit. This path allows satellites to observe parts of the Earth under constant light conditions.
This was the fourth launch for Smart Dragon 3. This four-stage rocket with a height of 31 meters is capable of delivering about 1500 kg of cargo to the Khurshid Ahang orbit at an altitude of 500 km.
Smart Dragon 3 was developed by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology but is controlled by China Rocket, a commercial arm of the company.
The Smart Dragon 3 is not the only vehicle that uses the floating launch pad off the coast of Haiyang City. Previously, “Ceres-1” and “Gravity-1” rockets were also launched from this platform.
