In the new study, researchers examined a small asteroid that was discovered last month. Before the research, it was determined that this asteroid was not on the way to collide with the Earth, and the researchers estimated that it was trapped by the Earth’s gravity for some time. According to previous research, many asteroids are trapped in relatively or completely elliptical paths around the planet before they move away from Earth.

They pointed out that this small asteroid is only 10 meters in diameter. 2 researchers were able to calculate its path in the next few months by referring to the size, speed and path of the asteroid. They realized that the said space rock is only going to come closer to the terrestrial planet for a few months due to the limitation of the Earth’s gravity.

This research showed that the asteroid orbits the earth once, which takes 53 days. This cycle starts at the end of this month and ends in the middle of November 2024.

Research also revealed the origin of the asteroid. This sky rock appears to be related to the Arjuna asteroid belt, which has different sky rocks with different orbits around the sun or similar to Earth.
