Also, the said figure is close to the birth age of the solar system in 4.57 billion years ago.

By determining the exact age of the moon, scientists can reach the sequence of events related to the early days of the formation of the solar system. Jennica Greer, an astrochemist at the University of Glasgow and one of the authors of this article, says: Timing is a priority in this study. According to scientists, the materials inside the moon have two layers of crust and mantle, which are separated from each other, and new minerals are created inside them by molten rocks, of which zircon is one of them.
