Procedures for obtaining a domestic nurse work visa and permanent residence in Canada

To Obtaining a home nurse work visa Caregiver To get permanent residence, you must go through the following steps:
- Gain work experience
If you are outside of Canada and you have less than 24 months or no related work experience as a domestic nurse in Canada, you can still apply for a Canadian domestic nurse work visa. But you should note that it is not possible to do this independently. This means that you must submit your work permit (Work Permit) and permanent residence (PR) application at the same time.

- Receive a letter of introduction for a work permit
If you are eligible for the Caregiver immigration program you have applied for, you can receive your work permit introduction letter and enter Canada with all your family members. When you arrive at the Canadian border, you can get your work permit by presenting this introduction letter.
- Work experience in Canada
At this stage, you will be granted an Occupation-Restricted Open Work Permit, with which you can start working in one of the occupations under the occupation code NOC 44100 or NOC 44101. In Canada, you must continue to work in your chosen occupation until your work history reaches the point where you can apply for permanent residency.
- Submitting documents showing work experience to the Canadian Federal Immigration Service (IRCC)
After you have worked full time as a Caregiver in Canada for 24 months, you will need to submit documents proving your work experience to the Canadian Federal Immigration Service to decide on your permanent residence application. You have a maximum of 3 years after obtaining the necessary work experience to submit the documents. - Paying the fee for reviewing the application for permanent residence in Canada and filing the case
If you have not paid the fee for examining your case to obtain Canadian permanent residence in the previous steps, at this stage you must pay these fees for yourself and other family members and register your case.
