“We decided to recognize the Palestinian state in the coming period of the UN General Assembly, which is due to be held next September,” Mehr News Agency quoted Al -Jazeera as saying.

The Canadian prime minister said the Canadian decision is conditional on the fact that the Palestinian Authority is committed to the necessary reforms.

With this move, Canada is beside France, Britain, Spain and Malta who have been determined to recognize Palestine.

Numerous couries, some of whom are European, at the end of a conference on Palestine chaired France and Saudi Arabia in New York, announced their readiness to recognize the Palestinian state at the next meeting of the UN General Assembly, which is scheduled to take place next September.

In a joi stateme, the foreign ministers of the world called for other couries that have not yet recognized Palestine.
