Steps to submit an Atlantic Canada work immigration application
Work immigration to Atlantic Canada is done through the selective program of Atlantic Canada (Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program). The process of submitting a work immigration application to Atlantic Canada consists of several steps, which include the following:
1. Apply online
First, you must register your application online. This step has been made mandatory since October 21, 2022. If you are unable to apply online and need special accommodations such as braille or large print, you can submit your application in person or by methods recommended by your immigration attorney.
2. Filling the required forms
At this stage, you must fill out the required forms online. These forms include the General Application to Immigrate to Canada (IMM 0008), Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669), Additional Family Information (IMM 5406), Additional Information on Your Travels (IMM 5562), and other required forms. You must also fill out the relevant PDF forms and upload them in your online application.
3. Paying fees online
At this stage, you have to pay the relevant fees online. For example, a biometric fee (fingerprinting for identity verification) must be paid. If the biometric fee is not paid, there may be a delay in processing the application.
4. Preparing and uploading documents
At this stage, you need to upload all the required documents that you have already prepared in your online application. These documents will include color passport photos of you and each of your family members, resume, educational documents, work documents, birth certificates, proof of English language level, and any other document that is mentioned in the required list.
5. Delivery of original documents
After uploading the documents, you have to submit your original documents as well. Depending on the specific case of your application, you may want to send some documents to a specific address or present them at the document collection center (Canadian Embassy).
6. Application review
After sending the application and documents, your application will be reviewed by the officials at the embassy. This review includes evaluating the accuracy and completeness of your documents, checking whether your documents comply with immigration requirements, and checking other factors. At this stage, the immigration authorities may contact you and request additional documents such as an in-person interview or ask you for other documents that you must submit by the specified date.
7. Interview
If your application is accepted after the initial review of documents and requirements, you may be invited for an interview. The interview can include an in-person interview at a Canadian embassy or consulate, a telephone interview, or an online interview with immigration officials. At this stage, you have to answer the questions of the officials and based on your performance in the interview, the final decision is made.

If your application is approved at all stages of review, the immigration authorities will issue you a visa to immigrate to Canada. Canadian visa Allows you to enter and stay in Canada. Depending on the type of visa applied for, there may be certain restrictions or requirements that must be met.
