The Canadian Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Board (IRCC) announced that it plans to remove job offer points from the Canadian Express System. These changes, introduced as a temporary measure, are to be implemented from the spring of this year.
Currently, applicants who create profiles in the Express Entry system and have a valid job offer can receive additional 2 or 5 points in the CRS Comprehensive System. These additional points often have a huge impact on receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence (ITA). The score of 1 for job offers (Jabar Affar) is management and the score is 2 for other job categories.
By implementing these changes:
- All new and new applicants in the Express Entry pool, even those who work temporarily in Canada, will be affected.
- This change will include all job suggestions in different economic sectors and will not be limited to a specific area.
On December 5, the Canadian Immigration Minister Mark Miller announced that the granting of a LMIA -based job offer (labor market impact assessment) will be eliminated in the CRS system. This is part of the Canadian government’s new policies to better manage the immigration and recruitment system. On December 5, however, the Canadian Immigration Organization announced that all types of mobs would include these changes, and these changes are not just for LMIA -based jobs.
The Inter Express system is used for the following programs:
- Federal Specialist Power Program (FSWP)
- Canadian Experience Program (CEC)
- Federal Technical Power Program (FSTP)
CRS scores are awarded to applicants based on factors such as age, education, language skills, and work experience. In addition, additional privileges are also given to conditions such as skill in French, family in Canada, Canadian education, job offer, or provincial nomination. By eliminating the job offer score from the CRS system, Express Entry applicants should focus more on factors such as language skills, education, and work experience to gain the necessary points to receive the invitation.
