According to the law, the Canadian Immigration Service and the Minister of Immigration are required to announce the country’s three-year immigration level plan (known as the Immigration Levels Plan) on November 1 in years when federal elections are not held. This year, the government’s three-year immigration plan for 2024-2026 was announced.

According to the announced plan, Canada will receive 485 thousand new immigrants in 2024 and this number will reach 500 thousand immigrants per year in 2025 and 2026, which is a new record in attracting immigrants.
