Performing biometric services by Visametric company
All the dear applicants can prepare the required biometric photos at visametric application centers based on the rules of the relevant diplomatic mission. The cost of this service is 8 euros per person.
The VIS system enables Schengen countries to share visa data with each other. The purpose of this work is to simplify the process of sending visas and also to facilitate border control processes at the external borders of Schengen.
From October 13, 2011, this information system was implemented and was gradually adopted in other visa centers of different member countries of the Schengen area.
German diplomatic missions joined the VIS central base in Iran on January 13, 2013. From this date onwards, all applicants must register their biometric information.
Acceptance System (VIS)
Applicants must submit their first application in person so that their biometric information, including fingerprints and photos, is recorded.
The aforementioned biometric data is stored in the VIS database and is accessible for up to five years thereafter. As a result, applicants will not need to apply in person after the first time.
When entering the Schengen area, border control authorities can re-check the identity of travelers using the VIS system.
Fingerprint registration is not required for the following:
- Children under 12 years old
- Those for whom it is physically impossible to register fingerprints.
- The head of government, members of a national government, including their spouses and members of their delegation, in case of an official invitation by the governments of one of the member countries or by an international organization.
Personal presence is mandatory, unless fingerprints have already been collected by the German embassy or any other Schengen country. Applicants must book an appointment at the Visametric embassy to submit their application.
