Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver and Ottawa made the list of the top 100 cities to live in due to their large immigrant populations. According to this list, Toronto is ranked 24th.

This list ranks cities with a population of over one million. The rankings are based on criteria such as safety, outdoor space, labor force participation, GDP, nightlife, universities, attractions, weather and more.
Toronto was the highest Canadian city. The country received high marks for economic growth driven by global immigration and investment.
The report notes that since half of the city’s population is foreign-born, the city has a very diverse community. Toronto also scored highly for education as it was reported to be among the most educated cities in the world.
However, the 24th ranking is a slip from the 2022 report, in which Toronto ranked 18th. The official first place went to London for the seventh year in a row, with Kyiv taking the honorary first place due to the hardships it suffered due to last year’s Russian invasion.

It is worth noting that although Moscow, the capital of Russia, was ranked fourth in 2022, it has been completely removed from the list this year, as has St. Petersburg.
London’s top spot is due to its high rankings for global investment, luxury real estate, tourism and thriving nightlife. Other top ten cities include Paris, New York, Tokyo, Dubai, Barcelona, Rome, Madrid, Singapore and Amsterdam.
The other four Canadian cities on the list are Montreal at 57, Calgary at 65, Vancouver at 69 and Ottawa at 96. The survey shows that all four cities have dense immigrant populations.
Montreal scored high for culture, and Calgary ranked for high GDP and younger population. Vancouver did well for its natural environment, and Ottawa made the list for its lower cost of living.
Canada announced its highest immigration goals
Canada recently released its 2025-2023 immigration plan, which aims to admit 500,000 new permanent residents annually by 2025.
The new targets continue to break the records set in 2021 by 405,000 and by nearly 432,000 in 2022. Canada is often seen as an attractive destination for immigrants. Because it is known for stability and security.
